District Logistics Manager - Kansas City, KS Region

Position Summary Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all branch locations in the following region: Kansas City, Lincoln, Omaha, and Des Moines. Responsible for ensuring excellence in customer service, shipping/receiving, production, rental, and repair activities. Provides leadership, coaching, and support to Store Managers to drive operational efficiency, employee development, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and support daily operations across all locations, including counter sales, shipping/receiving, production, rental, and repair activities
Ensure a high-quality customer experience for both internal and external customers
Evaluate branch performance and provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for Store Managers
Assist Store Managers with hiring, training, employee development, scheduling, and performance reviews
Conduct monthly visits to all locations to assess operational efficiency, employee performance, facility conditions, and adherence to company standards
Review operational reporting, including open orders, cycle counts, transfers, work orders, and repairs, and communicate findings with branch leadership
Develop and implement improvements to operational systems, training programs, policies, and procedures
Partner with Sales Managers to ensure operational support aligns with customer and business needs
Conduct training sessions, meetings, and ongoing communication with Store Managers and employees to support performance and accountability
Ensure completion of required training, inspections, reviews, hiring processes, and compliance with company policies, safety standards, Vision, Purpose, and Core Values
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive logistics, transportation, distribution, or operations management experience.
Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
Experience managing multiple locations, branches, or distribution facilities.
Demonstrated success leading teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, fleet operations, and transportation logistics.
Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems and ERP software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive operational improvements.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned district (approximately 50% travel).
